Optimally Equipped for Diverse Sample Matrices
The multi N/C 3300 HS is designed to meet the demands of laboratories working with a wide variety of sample types, from ultrapure water to particle-rich liquids and solid materials. Its intelligent loop injection system, supported by advanced rinsing technology, ensures highly sensitive TOC measurements down to 4 µg/L C—while effectively preventing sample carryover even when handling challenging, particle-laden matrices. For ultrapure water analysis, the syringe pump-based flow injection system is particularly suited to pharmaceutical applications.
The system features a wide-range focus radiation NDIR detector capable of measuring TOC concentrations from 0 to 30,000 mg/L. This broad dynamic range allows both low and high TOC levels to be analyzed directly, eliminating the need for dilution and ensuring maximum sample integrity.
Thanks to the integrated Easy Cal function and the VITA flow management system, calibration is remarkably stable over time—typically required only once per year. These technologies also simplify demanding calibration requirements, such as equidistant 10-point curves often used in regulated environments.
The multi N/C 3300 HS offers a high degree of automation tailored to individual laboratory needs. A broad portfolio of autosamplers supports automated acidification, simultaneous purging, magnetic stirring for homogenization, external needle rinsing to prevent contamination, and the analysis of polymer-sealed vials—crucial for ultrapure water applications.
For solids analysis, the instrument can be configured as a duo system or expanded later with additional modules. The HT 1300 solids module allows for catalyst-free combustion at temperatures up to 1800 °C using a ceramic combustion tube. Solid samples of up to 3 grams can be introduced horizontally using ceramic boats, eliminating the need for foil wrapping. Manual TIC analysis via direct acid digestion is also available by adding a TIC module.
For total nitrogen (TN) determination, the analyzer can be equipped with an integrated electrochemical detector (ChD) or the CLD-300 chemiluminescence detector module, which can be added either during the initial setup or retrofitted later as needed.

Thanks to its advanced loop injection technology with reverse rinse function, the system ensures highly reproducible results and complete dosing of particulate samples without carryover.
Injection volumes ranging from 1000 to 3000 µL provide exceptional sensitivity, particularly beneficial for trace-level measurements. The multi N/C 3300 HS model further enhances reproducibility and sensitivity for pharmaceutical applications such as ultrapure water analysis or direct swab combustion during TOC cleaning validation.
Equipped with a wide-range focus radiation NDIR detector, the system allows direct measurement of undiluted samples across a broad TOC concentration range. Simultaneous TNb determination is supported via optional detector modules (ChD or CLD), which can be integrated during initial setup or retrofitted later. A solids module is also available to expand the system’s capability for solid and swab sample analysis.
Operational efficiency is further enhanced by features such as automatic acidification and purging, sample homogenization, and parallel purging and measurement, which enable high NPOC sample throughput. An optional external needle rinsing function ensures even better repeatability and prevents contamination.
For laboratories working with saline matrices, an optional high-salt kit with a salt trap in the combustion tube helps extend maintenance intervals and ensures stable operation.
The system is powered by newly developed intuitive software with real-time result display and an optional 21 CFR Part 11 compliant pharma module, supporting work in regulated environments. Combined with long-term calibration stability and a five-year warranty on both the NDIR detector and furnace technology, the multi N/C 3300 series delivers performance, precision, and peace of mind for routine and advanced TOC/TNb analysis.
