Handheld NIR analyzer Visum Palm™
The Visum Palm™ is a standalone handheld NIR analyzer featuring an integrated computer and touchscreen, eliminating the need for connection to smartphones, tablets, or other external devices. It enables users to perform identification, classification, and quantification analyses seamlessly. You can identify samples, select the appropriate NIRS library or analysis method, acquire spectra, and view results within seconds. The device also allows you to access measurement history, perform assisted metrological checks using a wizard, and manage users and permissions effectively.
Visum Master™ software enables the development of calibrations or NIRS methods for identification, classification, and quantification by simply inputting spectra and reference data (quantitative or qualitative). It also generates an automated report detailing the calibration process, key metrics, and allows for easy editing of calibrations when needed. Representing the latest generation in NIRS calibrations, the software is designed to be user-friendly and does not require specialized knowledge in spectroscopy.
Visum Master™ facilitates the generation of NIRS method validations developed in compliance with EMA Guidelines, along with automated reports of the device’s metrological checks. It includes IQ and OQ protocols that can be completed and downloaded, and offers the capability to generate an automated Audit Trail report that captures all device usage information—such as date, time, user, action, and results—in a fully unalterable and incorruptible format, meeting 21 CFR Part 11 regulations for the pharmaceutical industry.
Compliant with USP and Ph. Eur. standards.
What are the key reasons to select the Visum Palm™ handheld NIR analyzer?
- Equipped with a 10 mm measurement area and a powerful illumination system, it captures more detailed chemical information from each sample, enhancing the accuracy and repeatability of every analysis.
- This device operates independently with an integrated computer and touchscreen, eliminating the need for connection to other electronic devices.
- It boasts a spectral resolution of 3 nm (256 channels), offering double the resolution of similar analyzers on the market and three times the performance of low-cost NIR analyzers (lower nm = higher spectral resolution).
- No specialized training is required for operation.
- Capable of measuring through transparent plastic bags and glass containers.
- Comes with a support base for benchtop use.
- Includes specific sample holders for solids and liquids.
- Through the Visum Master™ software for PC, it supports the development of calibrations, models, automated methods, verifications, validations, and report generation, streamlining daily tasks for operators and analysts.
