Biotech Fluidics Mini Degassing Chambers – Compact, Efficient, and High-Performance
Biotech Fluidics offers Mini Degassing Chambers designed for capillary, analytical, and semi-preparative conditions, accommodating flow rates up to 6 mL/min. These chambers are engineered for easy priming due to their ultra-low internal volume—less than 3% of traditional PTFE designs with similar degassing capacity—while ensuring high degassing efficiency across different flow rate ranges.
Advanced Construction and Material Compatibility
The Mini Degassing Chambers are constructed with single-lumen Systec™ AF tubular membranes, available in various diameters and lengths, with internal volumes ranging from 6 µL to 925 µL. The wetted materials in contact with liquid vary by design but include:
- Systec™ AF, ensuring superior degassing performance
- PEEK and glass-filled PTFE or PPS, enhancing chemical resistance
- FEP (Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene) for additional material stability
Some designs are completely metal-free and biocompatible, making them ideal for sensitive biological and pharmaceutical applications. Others include stainless-steel stents for reinforcement, allowing compatibility with aggressive organic solvents such as hexane, alkanes, and hexafluoro isopropanol (HFIP).
Port Configurations for Seamless Integration
The Mini Degassing Chambers are designed for convenient system integration, with most models featuring 1/4-28 UNF threaded flat-bottom ports. The two models with the lowest internal volume instead use 10-32 coned ports, ensuring a secure and precise connection.
With superior degassing efficiency, minimal internal volume, and a variety of material options, Biotech Fluidics Mini Degassing Chambers provide reliable performance for laboratories requiring precise fluid handling and optimal solvent management.
